Hello gentle Americans. The other day I was checking my e-mail and one particular one caught my eye.  It was from Time Out Magazine and as I quickly glanced at it I was immediately put on the defensive.

“Dear Miss Lettuce.  We would like to include you in 101 cheap things to do in NYC…….”

“How dare they call me cheap!” I said allowed as I read their e-mail. “How rude!  I know I have given it away to any Tom, Dick or Mary in town, but that does not give them the right to call me cheap and than print it in their publication.”

I must say I was relived when I scrolled down the page, and found out they were talking about my Classic Movie Night on Thursdays, at the Clearview Cinema, in the heart of Chelsea. For those of you not in the know I have been hosting this classic movie night for the past 8 years.  We show camp, crappy and classic films from the past 50 years, that has garnered a local following of lovely New Yorkers.  It is one of my favorite jobs I have had in my time working in NYC.
