MY DAILY ROUTINE

BECOME A FOLLOWER ON TWITTER: FOLLOWER ON TWITTER

Hello gentle Americans. I have an amazing show coming up on August 31st in NYC. The lovely people at LOGO (The countries premiere queer network) are filming a comedy show called Dragtastic! Featuring some of the best drag queens in the USA. If you have not caught on already I am one of those featured queens! There is a 4- person line up with your fab host Pandora Box. The show will be filmed at the Bowery Ball Room at 8pm-6 Delancey Street. Tickets are $25; call 1800.873.3554 for tickets. Can’t wait to see you there!

We have our daily routines to make life seem manageable, to make some sense out of chaos. In the morning I get up, piss, look in the mirror and tell myself, “I love you,” drink a large glass of water and sit down to meditate for 20 minutes. In my morning meditation I let my mind wander, hoping to connect with something greater than myself, but most of the time it just helps me feel connected to the world around me; at the very least it is 20 minutes of quiet before the rush of the day. Jumping on my bike I head to Connie’s Bakery down the road, giving my morning greetings to the lovely staff and ordering my usual breakfast: three egg whites with spinach and tomato, half a whole wheat Ritchie Roll and a medium decaf coffee with a splash of regular (if I am feeling particularly feisty). If there is a newspaper or magazine I greedily lap it up, taking in the headlines of the day. Occasionally a friend will show up and sit down for a chat. Sometimes someone will show up that I don’t want to engage, so I will put the paper in front of my face or pretend that I am blind. How do I pretend I am blind? I just sit there starring into space with my sunglasses on. How do I explain the open newspaper in front of me? I can’t. After breakfast I look around the bakery, my mouth watering from all the sugary deserts surrounding me. I have tried almost all of them. But most of the time I practice incredible restraint and resist the temptation. Though I do love to watch the customers circling them like a shark, with eyes as wide as saucers, coming in for a little healing in the form of sugar and butter. After breakfast I return home to place the finishing touches on my blog, press send and then I feel confident about the rest of the day. What is your daily routine?

Stay fresh,
x

LIVING IN FEAR

Hello gentle Americans. For those of you have been following my blog you will be happy to know I am doing the reality show pilot and that they will be paying me. I think the reason they ended up paying me was because I did not care whether I did the damn thing or not. When you don’t come from a place of fear you can remove yourself emotionally from the situation and make better decisions. Most of my adult life has been spent living in some varying shades of fear. Will I get the job? Won’t I? Will I keep the job? Will I get fired? Will I suck a big black cock or will it be dangled in my face, just out of reach? Today, my gentle readers, I ask you what fear are you living in and how can you deflate that fear so it does not consume you? The secret to right sizing fear, in my opinion, is talking about it with a close confidant or trained therapist. Another helpful tool is to write down the fear and write exactly what is making you fearful? Usually afterwards you will look at it and say to yourself, “Girl, what the hell were you afraid of in the first place? If a big black dick is dangled in front of you just grab it, don’t just sit there with your mouth open wide waiting for it to come to you.”

Stay fresh,

x
